Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Restoration Resource wants this website to be usable by everyone, including visitors who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technology. Whether you’re searching for help after a pipe burst or trying to reach us during a stressful insurance claim, you shouldn’t have to fight the website to find a phone number or fill out a form.
Standard We’re Working Toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard covers things like sufficient color contrast, text that resizes without breaking layout, descriptive link text, and forms that are labeled clearly enough for a screen reader to announce correctly. We review the site’s structure with this standard in mind and build new pages to follow it from the start rather than retrofitting them later.
Screen Reader and Keyboard Compatibility
Pages on this site are built with semantic headings, labeled form fields, and navigation that can be operated without a mouse. Images include descriptive alt text where they convey information, and purely decorative elements are marked so assistive technology can skip over them. If you use a screen reader like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver and run into a page that doesn’t read correctly, we want to know about it.
Known Limitations
No website is perfect, and ours is no exception. Third-party embeds (such as a mapping tool showing our Pasco location, or a form widget) are sometimes outside our direct control to modify. When we identify a gap like this, we look for an alternative way to present the same information, such as a plain-text address and phone number alongside an embedded map.
Reporting an Issue
If you encounter a barrier using this site, whether that’s a page that won’t load with your screen reader, a button that isn’t reachable by keyboard, or text that’s hard to read, please contact us directly rather than assuming we already know. Email [email protected] or call +1 (509) 528-1166 and describe what you were trying to do and what happened instead. The more specific the description, the faster we can track down the problem.
Our Response
We treat accessibility reports as a priority, not a backlog item. Once we hear from you, we aim to acknowledge the report quickly and address confirmed issues within a reasonable window, typically a few business days for straightforward fixes. If a fix requires more significant rework, we’ll let you know a rough timeline and, where possible, offer another way to get the information you need in the meantime, such as handling your request by phone instead of through the website.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility isn’t a one-time project we finish and move past. As we add pages, update content, or change how the site is built, we check that those changes hold up against the same standard. If you’ve worked with us before and have feedback on how the site could be easier to use, we’re glad to hear it at the contact information above.
